  • Fed Up

I'm really fed up and I don't know why.
Maybe it's because I'm flying tomorrow and I haven't done anything I planned to. Maybe it's because it just happens to be my "special time of the month" (if you know what I mean) or maybe it's because I'm broke again.

I just met up with I. in Düsseldorf (where we went to a kind of pub) and now it's 20 past midnight while I'm waiting for my lovely sis to tell me I can pick her up. That will be at around 1AM tonight and we'll probably pop down Mc Donald's in Krefeld then to have a coffee or a burger. Provided it's open until late:p

    Btw, my dear sister:
Yes it was my fault that the bloody cash dispenser ate your bloody debit card but hey... back then I'd just got stung by that bloody wasp.. into my throat .. where I nearly died (!!!) (well, no I didn't and after a few hours I didn't feel anything anymore, but still...) SO PLEASE HAVE A LITTLE MERCI ON ME, will ya:!::yes:
    Thank youB)

13 more hours and I'll board my flight:wave:

  • Time Over

    I can't believe it.
24 more hours and I'll be back in London:wave:

I just can't believe how time flew. It feels like yesterday when I arrived at Düsseldorf airport.

I spent my last week driving through NRW (mostly by train), visiting friends (or meeting up with them in some dodgy villages cities;)), relaxing, sleeping, watching telly and going out in the evenings. (I didn't drink, though:>> Honestly!)

Yesterday I got a new haircut (no, you won't get a picture, maybe later..) and I got to see Disney's "THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" in Oberhausen (where I'd met up with Jess). It was so cool to see Yngve again (he plays the beast btw *g*)... he's gooooooooorgeous:>> :

    sub_cast_romdal

It was really, really nice and we enjoyed it a lot:p

On the train to Krefeld I met that special kind of species - my best friends (I see them a lot) - a ticket inspector:!:
I did have a ticket (that didn't occur to be the problem for a change and even if, I am kinda able to influence that species a lot and I never have to pay *LOL*).... what happened was:
I dared to put my legs up on that kind of thing (which, when you put it down, becomes a sort of extra seat) and when that muppet gentleman came to check my ticket he said: "Put your legs down, will ya"...
To cut a long story short: Of course I did what I was told but afterwards he was just so rude and talking to me in a way I don't wanna be talked to. Additional to that he touched me and kind of hit me (well, my legs).. and then he was really going to call the old bill, I couldn't believe what I heard.
"Call the police then, go on.. Then I'll have someone to tell what you just did" I said, and he didn't like that .. but considering the fact that at the end of the day it was him who had done wrong he didn't call the coppers - how stupid can one be!!!>:-[
I just felt bad because on the one hand I don't wanna be treated like that and on the other hand I usually don't get involved with any kind of authorities:P (at least not in that kind of way):!:

Anyway. All in all I've had a really good time at home and enjoyed every single minute. It's great to be without any duties, responsibilities and worries for a while...:)

When I met up with Tina in Düsseldorf the other day I discovered some park (which had been there all the time but although I was born in Düsseldorf I had never been there before) - "Hofgarten".
It's really nice and we took a time out singing "Andrew Lloyd Webber" songs on a bench (I know we are embarrassing and we're proud of it) and talking about ill hamsters, dead rabbits and screaming guineapigs *ggg*;)

Two days ago Vany was doomed to cook some dinner for G., G. and me, because she was taken to a Robbie Williams concert in Cologne 2 weeks ago - bad luck:>> - and that was her "payment".
It was quite yummy, though, and all of us enjoyed it a lot.
    A perfect dinner:b

Today our train was delayed for some time because the police was tracing an unattended bag.
Quite reassuring to be told "Well, we'll stop here for a while because the Transport Police have found some unattended bag in your carriage. Don't worry, you'll be fine" *g*:b
It turned out to belong to some homeless fellow who was searching the train for empty cans and bottles (there are loads of people who search bins in order to get the 25 cent pledge). Grrrr...

Btw that's me with Orlando, Johnny and Keira *ggg*:

  • Strange Things Happening

It's weird. I've been here for over 3 weeks now and I still feel as if I was on holiday or something, but not home in any way.
    Is that normal?

But anyway, I do enjoy being here in a way and meeting all my friends, just to know that I haven't been forgotten, is fab.

I've changed my lifestyle as well since I came here. I still go to bed too late but now I tend to sleep until 10ish (which is great *g*). I am so happy not to have to pay for my food so I tend to eat a lot as well:>>

Sometimes when I am on the train my thoughts keep on flying away and as soon as I think about my "actual" home my brain switches to the "English" mode which means I also think in English. If then someone starts speaking German next to me I always get a little shock cos unconsciously I was expecting English I think;)

I had a really funny experience at Düsseldorf station the other day..
All I wanted to do was to buy an apple.. a "Braeburn" apple. But for some reason I didn't manage to say "Ein Braeburn Apfel, bitte".. Cos I was actually going to say "Can I have a braeburn apple, please".. So I must have said something like "A Braeburn Apfel" pronouncing "Braeburn" really English.
What I got was an apple and that saleslady talking to me.. in English.
I didn't say anything but it was so funny:))

Another incident that showed me my brain decides to swith whenever it wants.. by itself:
I was just about to sit down on a train to Duisburg when the train stopped with a jar and I nearly fell into a big guy's arms (embarrassing *g*)... By coincidence that fellow was American and he said something like "Oh, I'm sorry" (he can't have been German anyway cos Germans don't apologize if someone crashes into them;))..
"Oh I'm really sorry. Sorry" I said.. automatically and not even realizing that I was talking English - scary:roll:

The weather is horrible by the way and I'm just sitting in an internet cafe in Recklinghausen being surrounded by highly annoying 12-year-olds who just can't shut up for a second *brrrr*:##
I met up with M. for some brunch this morning (he paid which was nice) and yesterday (after I'd met Tina in Essen) Jess and I decided to watch THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (musical) which was absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed it:p

.. Another pic we took during our "Big sister shows little sister London"- tour:

  • Pissed off!

I'm fed up. I've had an argument with my lovely boyfriend and I have to say: English men are different. Grrrrrrrrr....
    1. Is it so hard to admit you are afraid of flying?
    2. Is it so hard to say you've missed your f*** flight?
    3. Is it so hard to tell your girlfriend you are a coward?
And last but not least: is it really so hard to confess you've been telling tales?
Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh........ I am really, really irritated:##

To cut a long story short: Sir Daryl French didn't manage to board the flight LH4771 from London Heathrow to Düsseldorf International. But once more he did manage to piss me off>:(

Anyway, I still had a good weekend and a lot of fun - even without Mr "I am too scared to do anything and probably some terrorist will decide to blow my bloody plane up"-Daryl.
I met up with some friends and managed to be stuck in Solingen for some time. (The ugliest city around)

I think I've been away for too long, we've even got a "Subway" Restaurant in Krefeld now, I can't believe it:>>

The other day I was waiting for my sister at Krefeld railway station when I actually realized that German cab drivers are sort of perverts and German coppers are ugly *ggg*

There was that guy on the train. He kept on starring at me for 50 minutes and when I was waiting for my train at Essen station he just followed me where ever I went - even to the loo (which was really scary). I told him to piss off but he wouldn't go away so I just had a chat with some coppers who finally helped me to get rid off him - crazy twat:|
So last night I actually dreamed I was being followed and kidnapped by some short fat guy wearing a "Lonsdale" Jacket (brrr):-/

That was last month when Vany visited me in London:
    (me at Piccadilly Circus)
We had a good time playing tourists... more pictures coming up:!:

  • Apologies

I know I am really bad at the moment. Too lazy and not bothered, but hey, I'm on holiday so everyone please forgive me for being such a bore and not posting that much.
Also everyone who's waiting for an email from me: sorry!!
I'm not too busy or so but my internet access is limitied and I hardly find an opportunity to check my emails, so...

    SORRY:!::b

Last weekend was fab as I managed to see my friends and have a good time. I met up with Tina in Essen (Werden) and we popped down "KIKAS" (where I didn't have ice cream as usual but a big fruit cocktail with yoghurt which was yummy *g*). It was really nice as it reminded me of a time long ago where we used to go there a lot. We also had a trip to our old "church" where we used to sing in the middle of the night sitting on the church wall until we were told off by some grannies from the nursing home opposite the church "Could you please be quiet, it's almost midnight, thank you"
That was fun. Another time some couple asked us to sing for them again as they really liked our version of "The Phantom Of The Opera" *LOL*
And I'll never forget our little "concert" in front of a dozen actors and musical fans at the "Holiday Inn Hotel" (embarrassing):))

In the evening I took a train down to Dinslaken/Friedrichsfeld and visited my little babe, Jess:wave:
Thanks darling for making me my tea and keeping Picasso away from my legs *g* And thanks for the video and the nice evening:yes:

On Sunday I had a nice trip to the most beautiful *cough* city of our "Ruhrgebiet" - BOCHUMXX(
I knew I was in Bochum when some 15-year-olds tried to chat me up and a 12-year-old turkish teenager told me I was "hot" and after I'd asked him why he wasn't in bed yet he got a bit "cross" with me *ggg*.... kids.....
Then I met those lovely drunks on the platform who were entertaining everyone by their stupid and loud conversations about "Hartz IV" and our horrible government)-o
I visited Melanie and her two lovely cats (they're the cutest cats I've ever seen and I actually love every cat in this world) where we spent ages on the internet and making fruit salad...

I met two Scottish guys on the train the other day. It was funny as until then I'd only heard Scottish people speaking English, not Scottish. But I recognized the kind of accent I am so used to (I really like it) and so I just had a chat with them (they were really cute and although they were really good at speaking German they didn't understand it - usually it's the other way around. Probably my German has become so bad that nobody understands me anymore *ggg*).

Tomorrow Daryl's coming and I'll pick him up from the airport in Düsseldorf (provided he manages to get out of London after those terror threat security warnings *grrrr*)

  • Sunshine, Sandwiches And Boredom

A few things happened... good things...

E.g.: Daryl managed to book a flight to Germany (i.e. he's gonna visit me here in a fortnight) :p

    I finally got my results (CAE exam/Cambridge), I can't believe it ...
    I PASSED - AND GOT AN "A"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be honest I was quite certain I'd passed but I'd hoped to get a "B" or so. I'm really happy - and proud:!:

I spent the weekend meeting friends and popping down the "Centro" (Shopping Centre, but in comparison to London shops here tend to be closed on Sundays) in Oberhausen with Jess. On Tuesday I met up with Mel in Essen where we managed to go for a drink and chat for over three hours *ggg*
I actually enjoyed myself and it feels good to see all my friends again.. Coming home also means "getting back a piece of my past" - sometimes it's nice but sometimes it also makes me realize that I don't miss my "old life". I'm quite happy with things being as they are and I don't intend to change that. For now it's okay the way it is and I'll just let things happen as I am curious and excited ...

Yesterday (Thursday) I took a tram up to C.Düsseldorf where I picked Tina up from the (railway) station.
I have to admit: Düsseldorf is boring. It bores me and I can't help it.
I used to like it as back then it meant fun, entertainment and a sort of alternative. But now it's nothing more than a "big village" full of dull, transparent and unfriendly people. It's still better than Meerbusch, though:b
I think once you've fallen in love with London, once you've lived there for a while, it's not possible to be impressed anymore:!:
I know it's not true but I tend to think I've seen it all in a way. (At least a lot;))
And I've been through a lot as well...

Anyway, Tina and I just walked around and chatted a lot before we had a look and walked down to the "Rhine".
Tina was really mean as well as she just had a "Subway" sandwich in front of my eyes (while I was starving and I love "Subway", I'd die for it):'(

It's not fair. Now that I'm here the weather's changed completely. It's not really warm anymore and raining quite a lot. I was actually looking forward to the opportunity to go for a swim and sunbathing whenever I feel like it. (As there's a lack of swimming pools and outdoor swimming lakes in London I missed it)

BTW that's me outside my mom's office in Düsseldorf:
